.. ..
I finally completed my 36x36 canvas. It took me about 2 months to complete and Im
actually satisfied. Its not a Vincent Van
go, and its not going to end up in some art museum, but Im proud of it. Its my documentation of time. Each time my paint brush touched the canvas
it was a moment in time. Each moment,
each stroke, each change of color added together to make an image. The image was within me and now its out of
me absorbing and reflecting the light that shines upon it.
.. ..
Taking on a peace of art work this large was hard at
first. It was the inspiration that I found
to hard. It took more time to become
inspired than to paint the actual canvas.
The inspiration was time, emotion, and the people around me. Once I realized that I was surrounded by
inspiration nothing could stop me. One
moment after another, I felt that I needed to document it, to paint it!
.. ..
As time went on, I found myself thinking about painting
while I was at work. I seriously became
addicted to painting. When I paint the
world slows down. Each stroke of my
paint brush took a calming breath and a precise stroke. Everything else in the world doesnt matter, art
is the truth. Weather Im a good
artist, or a bad artist, I dont care. Im
not painting for any reason but my own, its my antidote to the poison of the world.
